New Ways to Learn in 2017...
I always feel energized and renewed after a workshop. If learning something new is on your resolution list, I am offering several new formats for 2017. You will most definitely find one that fits your schedule and interest.
If you have always wanted to experience encaustic, but didn't want to commit to buying anything until you know for sure that you like it, try one of the Spring one day Introduction to Encaustic classes held at my Bulverde area studio. You will be able to learn the basics of working with the luscious texture and brilliant colors that is part of the encaustic experience. In the afternoon we will add mixed media materials and build up smooth, transparent layers that will astound you with the depth you will be able to achieve. All materials will be provided so there is no investment. Lunch is also part of the class fee. Spring Classes: March 18 and April 8. For more information and sign up go HERE.
R&F Sponsored Comprehensive Encaustic Workshop
If you have some experience with encaustic or want to dive right in, I will be teaching a comprehensive three day workshop at Southwest School of Art March 10-12, 2017. This workshop is co-sponsored by R&F Paints, meaning students will be taking home nearly $100 in paint supplies for use after the workshop. Most of the other materials are provided. Register at Southwest School of Art. This class fills up fast. Contact me directly if you are unable to get in.
Saturday Afternoon Art
In 2017 I invite you to treat yourself to a Saturday Afternoon Art Outing! Once a month or so, I will prepare an "fun" art project. Each class will involve learning a new technique or exploring new materials. I'll put it altogether in a structured step by step process so that even if you are new to encaustic or art, for that matter, you can create something wonderful! These workshops are especially fun to share with best friends or family members. The first Art Outing is scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2017 from 1:00-5:00. For more information and registration, go HERE.
